History of Latex
Did you know? The major commercial of natural rubber latex is the Para rubber tree, Hevea Brasiliensis, from Brazil. Henry Wickham gathered thousands of seeds from Brazil in 1876 and they were germinated in Kew Gardens, England. The seedlings were sent to Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Indonesia, Singapore and British Malaya (now Malaysia). Although the Hevea tree is native to South America, cultivation is limited due to the high prevalence of leaf blight diseases and other natural predators.

Today Asia is the main source of natural rubber, accounting for around 94% of output in 2005. The three largest producing countries (Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand) together account for around 72% of all natural rubber production.

Our Natural Latex Process
Luvina’s production process follows strict guidelines directed by German process engineers and local experts. We utilized German’s Vulcanization Technology (World’s unique RF Technology) to ensure zero bacteria in the rubber content. Since Luvina strictly using 100% natural latex only, it is durable and the expectancy of usage is longer than synthetic latex. We also source for quality natural latex raw materials in producing premium range of Healthy products. This is achieved through the volume of latex content used and the design in the number of pin holes to ensure that the foam density is just right to provide the optimal firmness for your comfort.
